The port city of Mobile is located in the Gulf Coast region, where you can enjoy a wide mixture of water sports including fishing, jet-skiing, rafting, canoeing and sailing. Mobile also features prominent championship golf courses, such as Linksman Golf Club and Magnolia Grove—part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Mobile, one of the more important harbours and industrialized towns on the Gulf of Mexico, lies in a cove in south-western Alabama that reaches over 25 mi. inland. A number of well conserved antebellum and beautiful gardens planted with azaleas, give the township its uniqueambience. Other places of interest are the Fine Arts Museum of the South, the Museum of the City of Mobile, the Cathedral and an old French fort, Fort Condé.
