Nature lovers must not miss an opportunity to visit Manipur Zoological Garden situated on ImphalKangchup Road at Iroishemba. This place is only 6kms far away from Imphal and to describe the beauty of this authentic place is really spell-binding. In this zoological garden, you can see unusual species of wild animals and even plants. This garden was set up in 1976 on 2^nd October and is spreaded over an area of 8 hectares. Just witnessing its natural splendor, it is rightly address as “the Jewel Box of Manipur”. The main attraction of this zoo is the Thiamin Deer, one of the rare species in the whole world, is found here and accompanied with more than 400 species of wild animals and 50 bird species.
