Those who are fond of historical facts of Imphal must not miss a visit to Manipur State Museum. This historical museum is situated just close to Polo-ground displaying lots of things speaking lot about history of Imphal without uttering a single word. The collection comprises of traditional Manipuri costumes, war weapons, portraits of rulers of Manipur, armony, historical documents, leftovers and much more. This interesting museum was set up in 1969 and since then, it started alluring lots of tourists from all over the world every year. Number of activities and events are organized in this museum, among which the main are cultural appreciation courses, museum awareness programmes and also science fairs and exhibitions took place here.
