Udayagiri Fort, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu - Massive and gigantic structure housing an amusement park for kids

Udaigiri fort is one of the most popular attractions and not to be missed attraction in Kanyakumari. It is well located at Puliyoorkurichi, only 14 km away from Nagercoil. This massive fort was built in 1600 AD and later on in between 1741-1744, the Travancore King MarthandaVarma renovated the fort. In the 18^th century, the fort was also famous as De Lannoy’s Fort. This was happened as the Dutch rulers took the fort under their control for several years. Other than historic importance, this ancient fort is also famous for a wonderful recreational park for children.
