Vattakottai Fort is one of the most alluring sites in Kanyakumari. This magnificent fort was constructed by the Travancore Kings in the 18^th century. This fort was built for the safety measures at the ruling period of MarthandaVarma. This gigantic fort is 25 feet tall and 29 feet in width. Really very massive!! To captivate the view of sea just by standing on the top of the fort is actually great experience. You can see the calm and tranquil water of the Arabian Sea by standing on the parade ground and on the other hand, you can see the violent water of Bay of Bengal.
