Temples serve to be the main attractions in India and being part of India, Kanyakumari also offers one of the most magnificent temples in the Southern India – Thirunandhikarai Cave Temple. In this awesome temple, Lord Shiva is worshipped and is among the twelve temples of Shivalyam. This wonderful temple is located at the banks of Nandhiaaru. Its architectural style is very adorable and is built in Kerala style. Jains are supposed to be the main founder of this temple and during 7^th and 8^th century. Then, later on in the 10^th century, the temple came under the control of Raja RajaChola and he placed lingam in this temple.
