The Arignar Anna Zoological Park is situated in Vandalore about 5 km from Kanchipuram. It is one of the modern zoos of India, and the biggest in South East Asia. The zoo is situated in a reserve forest. Some of the attractions inside the park are a nocturnal animal house, reptile enclosure, walk-through aviaries, pre-historic animal park, butterfly house, children's park and an interpretation centre. Lion Safari Park is one of the most attractive features of this zoological park and a tour around the park is done in a battery operated vehicles. It is indeed a great place for the kids and adults alike.
