The Seahorse World Aquarium located in the Marlborough region, New Zealand boasts of the biggest collection of New Zealand aquatic life on display. In reality, the Seahorse World houses the world's main species of Sea horse which is widespread to New Zealand! Sea horses are the species of maritime fish that belong to the genus Hippocampus of the family Syngnathidae. Their size ranges from 16 mm to 35 cm. The most outstanding characteristic of the Sea horses is that the males become pregnant instead of the female. Thus the father seahorses’ delivery to baby seahorses and that also up to 378 babies at a time!
