Remarkables is a world class skiing area positioned high on the Remarkables mountain range and enjoys soft, cold and dry snow for most part of the season that usually runs from late June to mid October. The area was established in 1985 and ever since then it has been celebrated for its alpine environment, tranquil atmosphere and its sense of fun. Remarkables skiing area is often frequented by young, hip snowboarders, free skiers and families who gather to the mountain's diverse trails for some fun. The Remarkables in Queenstown wraps an area of about 700 hectares of alpine reserves out of which 220 hectares can be used for skiing. The park is mostly visited by teenagers who hang out in the park enjoying hip hop music.
