Cambridge, the town of trees, is situated in the Waikato area of the North Island in New Zealand. This petite but quaint town on the banks of the Waikato River is the largest metropolis of the Waipa district. The township is famous with the tourists not only for its exquisite environs but also for its pure-bred horse stables which boasts of producing a chain of champion horses in the games of racing and show jumping. Furthermore the location of the Lake Karapiro, close by the town makes it all the more imperative. The lake is one of the numerous artificial lakes created as a part of the hydroelectricity scheme, has now become a famous rowing spot.
