Sayaji Gardens, also known as Kamati Baug, it is the largest garden in entire Western India and is extended over a vast area of 45 hectares of land. It was built by Maharaja Sayajirao III in 1879 at the banks of River Vishwamitri and serves as an excellent picnic spot and a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city crowd. The park is a home to the rich flora with more than 100 species of trees and plants. Moreover, two museums, a zoo, a flower clock and a planetarium are also worth seeing inside the park. There is also a toy train for the children running in it. The Sayaji Gardens is indeed a great place for kids and adults alike and a must visit tourist attraction in the city of Baroda.
