Darjeeling can also be reached through road connectivity as it is also well maintained. One can get the buses provided by the State Transport from Calcutta. Also you can take the services of buses from Gangtok, Siliguri, Bagdora, Kalimpong, Kurseong, etc. You can hire the buses as per your pocket allowance as private deluxe, shared taxis, semi-deluxe and luxury buses are the options.

Reach Darjeelingby Rail

The most common and interesting rail connectivity to Darjeeling is “Toy Train” from New Jalpaiguri and is the only train which is allowed at the Darjeeling railway station. But, the other closest railhead is at New Jalpaiguri which is only 88 kms away from Darjeeling. From here, one can get rail connectivity to other main cities of India like Delhi, Guwahati, Varanasi, Kolkata, etc.
