The Dead Sea which is actually a big lake is the lowest place on the planet. This lake is about 1300 feet below sea level. The sea got its name because it’s saline nature that nothing could survive in the water. In fact, Israel has become a significant supplier of minerals to the world because of this one natural resource. The unbelievable concentration of salt is accountable for the healing effect that this sea is famed for – especially good for people with skin conditions. It is really easy to float on the water owing to its high salt content. The black mud underneath the sea is also mineral rich.
