The garden is famous for the wide range of orchid species that blossoms here. The Saramsa Garden is also known as Ipecac Garden and is preserved by the forest department of the Sikkim government. This fresh and majestic garden is situated at a distance of 14 kilometres from the heart of the city. This beautiful garden is one of the best picnic spots in the capital city. It is a house of beautiful flowers and many medicinal plants and it also houses some beautiful species of butterflies. Apart from magnificent environ, one can also enjoy sports like volleyball and football in the garden premises.
