Rumtek Monastery, Gangtok, Sikkim - Religious belief and amazing views
The monastery is located on the hilltop facing the city of Gangtok. This monastery is located 24 km away from Gangtok. The Rumtek Monastery is also known as the Dharma Chakra Centre. This is the place where the monks do the sacred rites associated with the practices of the Karma Kagyu lineage. The Rumtek Monastery is the largest monastery in Sikkim consists of numerous sacred things; one of the most glorious things is the Golden Stupa that holds the treasured relics of His Holiness the Sixteenth Karmapa. From the monastery one can have an amazing view of the city.
