Mrauk U, Myanmar - Mahamuni Shrine and Old Ancient Temple

Until recently, it was not so easy to get information about the ancient town mrauk u and the area was not so accessible. Although it is often recommended to the adventurous travellers, mrauk u is a budding destination in myanmar. It has been illustrated as a "lost city" and the boat trip from archaeological site of wethali, another ancient capital of rakkhine realm dating back to the 4th century.  This 15th century ancient township of rakhinekingdom is well-known for its old temples with wall paintings of indian cultural influence. The mahamuni shrine, one of the legendary pagodas in myanmar, is positioned 30 km from mrauk u.
