Norbulingka Institute, Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh - Training centre for Tibetan art and craft

Located at a distance of about 15 km from the city centre of McLeodganj, it is a famous training centre of traditional Tibetan art and craft. Founded by the 14^th Dalai Lama, this organisation is established in 1988 for the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Tibet. It houses a beautiful Losel Doll Museum which is a major attraction and houses beautiful dolls and their colourful costumes. Furthmore, a double storied ‘Happiness Temple’ is also positioned there in the Norbulingka Garden and is renowned for its 1173 beautiful murals of Lord Buddha and a huge copper statue of Sakyamuni Buddha.
