Nablus is universally famous as Shekhem to the local Israelites. The conurbation of Nablus is situated 42 kilometers from the city of Tel Aviv and around 60 kilometers from Jerusalem. Nablus is an industrial township renowned for its local soap making factories. It is also a main canter of Arab Nationalism on the West Bank province and is under the Palestinian Authority. The metropolis of Nablus lies at between two key commercial roads in Israel. One of the roads connects the coastal Plain of Sharon with the Jordan vale and the other connects Nablus to the Galilee and Judea to the south. Nablus in Israel is extensively regarded as a momentous city to the three Abrahamic faiths – Christians, Jews and Muslims along with Samaritanism.
