The Agartala Airport, called Singerbhil Airport, is located 12kms away from the city. Direct flight connections to Kolkata, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai are operating at present. Airfare varies between 1800/- to 7000/-. Auto rickshaws can be used to reach your hotel from the airport.
Reach Agartala by Rail
Since June 2008, Agartala has been connected to other Indian cities through railways. Direct trains operate from Silchar and Badarpur in Assam to the city. There is a connecting train from Guwahati via Lumding. A rail link between Agartala and Bangladesh is in use since September 2011.
Reach Agartala by Road
A bus service via National Highway 44 connects Agartala to Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and the rest of the country. With cars and vans being usually being used for private hire, jeeps, SUVs, buses and trekkers are the most common modes of public carriers. Agartala is connected to Dhaka through the Akhaura Check post, with the route extending to Kolkata in West Bengal.
