Sodal Mandir, Jalandhar, Punjab - A temple and samadhi built in memory of Baba Sodal
Located near the Devi TalabMandir, SodalMandir is a famous religious attraction in the city. The temple is built in the memory of Baba Sodal who belonged to the Chadha clan in Jalandhar. It is said that he drowned himself there in a pond when his mother once got tempered by him and asked him to do so. This place is now visited as a pilgrim centre and a Samadhi is also made there where a painted portrait of Baba is kept for worship. The place also houses a water tank where the pilgrims come to take a holy dip. A fair is also held at the Samadhi annually in the month of September on the occasion of AnantChaturdashi which is witnessed by a number of devotees all across the country.
