The climate of Jalandhar is sub tropical with hot in summers and humid in monsoons.

 

The summers in the city are generally hot and humid that extends from March to June. The temperature is quite hot and dry with hot winds called as loo and the temperature varies from 25 degree C to 48 degree C. The humidity becomes very low and scorching heat of the city may irritate you while traveling to the city in summers.

 

The monsoon season starts from June to September with average rainfall. The humidity gets increased and heavy downpours make the weather wet and pleasant.

 

The winter season extends from December to February with cold weather. The temperature varies from 5 degree C to 19 degree C with cold waves blowing over the city of Jalandhar. Winter is the best time to visit the city as the climate is quite cool and pleasant and the entire ambience gets filled with lush greenery all across the city.
