Covelong beach is situated at the distance of 40 kms away from Chennai and is the main attraction for the adventurous lovers, tranquil and peace lovers too. Nawab of Carnatic was the man having hand behind the foundation of this exotic beach of Chennai as a port. Lots of adventurous water sports and activities are performed at this beach like swimming, wind surfing and water surfing. But keeping all this aside, walking leisurely on this beach is really unbeatable experience. Great surrounding of this beach also made it popular as it has the Fort, a Catholic Church and a Mosque as its enclosures. Sun bathing is also most preferred activity at this beach.
