The only Science museum in the city, Sukanta Academy is well-known for the small but elaborate planetarium housed within its premises. This is a point of attraction for students, research scholars and scientists in the city as well as the neighbouring states. Several scientific activities are carried out by the academy from time to time to boost the scientific temperament amongst students. In addition to this, there is a daily screening of scientific films for the students. Other attractions here include an Energy Park, Pet Corner, Popular Science Gallery, Fun Science Gallery, Book Sales Counter, Portable Planetarium, an Aquarium, etc.
