Minneriya, Sri Lanka - Historical Significance and Park

Scenic, Lakes, Amusement Park

Minneriya is a small picturesque city in Sri Lanka famous for its grandeur, and is famed for two things, for the mighty Minneriya Lake constructed by King Mahasen and for the Minneriya wildlife sanctuary which is a hotbed for wilderness lovers because of the remains of Elephants and gets to discover few of the marvels of nature. The park is the smallest national park in the nation and is governed chiefly by the Minneriya Tank which has historical significance. In addition it is located near Habarana which houses few of the to-notch hotels for tourists and few celebrated World Heritage Sites like Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya which are moderately close to Minneriya.
