Ella, Sri Lanka - The Most Stunning Vista

Ella is blessed with some of the most stunning vista one could find in Sri Lanka. Only 8 km from Bandarawela, this small township is used as a base for copiousness of trekking journeys to the neighboring countryside. The beautiful places in the vicinity of Ella are the Ella Gap, Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam's Peak and Bambaragala Peak amongst the other many diverse enjoyable walks with dramatic scenery. Adam's Peak is 2,243 metres tall pointed mountain situated in central Sri Lanka. It is illustrious for the Sri Pada "sacred footprint", a 1.8 m rock structure near the peak, in Buddhist custom held to be the footprint of Buddha, in Hindu custom that of Shiva and in Muslim custom that of Adam.
