“Swargadwar” literally means direct door to heaven. In Puri, it is one of the famous and isolated beaches but it is also considered to be the most sacred one. Especially, Hindu devotees come to this beach to take a dip in this calm sea and they do so because as per famous belief, Sri Chaithanyadev, popular Vaishanava saint, used to take bath at this holy beach only. “Mahadadhi” is the name of the famous pilgrim place on this beach where Hindus usually take bath. At present, the beach has become must-see destination for the Hindus and other tourists to this place.
