Atharmala Bridge in Puri is not only famous for its pictorial view but it is also well-known for being evidence of the history of this region. In the early 13^th century, the bridge was constructed and was built with an aim to facilitate transport system and also mutual communication. This bridge was meant to provide connectivity between Mandupur stream and other streams. The main dimensions of this enormous and awesome bridge are 85 X 11 meters. Most of the people visit this bridge even for offering prayers because as per some legends, it is believed that it is one of the most sacred places in Puri.
