Jajmau, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh - Leather factories and tanning
A small hamlet situated in the east side of the Kanpur city is Jajmau. It is quite appealing and has great importance in the history of the city. Basically, today Jajmau is an important industrial area of the state and has myriad of leather factories and tanneries. The main attractions that could please you are an ancient mosque named Jiinatun Ki Masjid on the pinnacle of the hill and other one is memorial of Hazrat Makhdoom Shah Ala, built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq. Formerly, the place was well known as Siddhapuri and according to excavations found, it is believed that the suburb dates back to 1600 A.D.
