A trip to Kanpur is not at all complete without visiting the one of the famous museums – Kamla Retreat. It is the best historical site in the city and is situated very close to the Allen Forest Zoo and was set up by the JK group. The museum is good place to see all the ancient artifacts throwing light on the history of the city. But for getting to the museum, one has to take permission from the General Manager of the Kamla Tower. The place has now become one of the best sites for family outings, day excursion and for picnicking.
