Sangam, popularly known as Triveni Sangam, is the main reason behind the popularity of Allahabad. It is situated only 7 kms far from the Civil Lines. As the name suggests, it is meeting point of three famous sacred rivers – Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The most interesting part of this spot is that one can see the three different colors of water depicting the three rivers. People from different parts of the country came here to take religious dip in this water as it is believed that by doing so, one could get rid off their sins. Therefore, it is must-see attraction of the city.
