In the core of the city lies Rose Garden which is famous for its huge collection of different roses. It is situated at a walking distance from Charring Cross, Vijayanagaram. This rose garden is spreaded over 10 acres of the land. Rose garden in Ooty is well maintained with 3600 varieties of beautiful roses among which the main are Miniature roses, Floribunda, Ramblers, Hybrid tea roses and different colored roses also like black, green, etc. The maintenance control of this rose garden is in the hands of Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department. This entire rose garden can be seen from the ‘Nila Maadam.’
