Reach Ooty by Air
Coimbatore is the only nearest airport for the flights to Ooty. After reaching to Coimbatore, one can hire pre-paid taxi to cover the distance of about 105 km for arriving Ooty. Basically, this pre-paid taxi is available at the rent for Rs.2500. Coimbatore can be reached by many flights from Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Reach Ooty by Rail
Train offers the best connectivity for Ooty. Mettupalayam is the main railway station which is only 47 km far away from Ooty. Lots of trains are available for reaching Mettupalayam from Chennai and Coimbatore. Also, toy trains are there for reaching Ooty through Mettupalayam and Conoor. If not preferred, then there are taxis for reaching Ooty from Mettupalayam with a fare of Rs. 1000.
Reach Ooty by Road
There are myriads of buses regularly plying for Ooty from other South Indian cities. Like, you will find daily bus services for Ooty from Bangalore, Madurai, Mysore and Kanyakumari and many other cities also from Kerala.
