Oslo Henie Onstad Art Center, Norway - Museum
Henie Onstad Art Centre has Norway's largest anthology of international modern art, including works by Picasso and Matisse. The museum also shows changing exhibitions all through the year. Henie Onstad is located in beautiful surroundings by the Oslo Fjord, just 15 minutes west of the city centre. The Henie-Onstad Art Center (1966-68), was found by Sonja Henie and Niels Onstad. The cups won by the champion skater Sonja Henie (1912-69) are exhibited in one of the rooms. The art center is marvelously situated on the Oslofjord and has a large park site with sculptures in addition to a beach.
