Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary which is situated in the East Sikkim region adjoining the Tsomgo Lake along the Nathula road. Lying at a distance of 31 km from Gangtok, the sanctuary is extended into an area of about 31 sq km bordering the Rong Chu Lake and Tsomgo Lake. Dotted with a rich variety of flora and fauna, the sanctuary is home to several endangered species of orchids and rhododendrons interspersed with tall junipers and silver ferns. A visit to this sanctuary offers a refreshing retreat to the visitors with its magical surroundings and peaceful atmosphere.
