Reach Nathula by Rail
The only way to reach Nathula is via Gangtok only and from here one has to take a four wheeler. Nathula does not have its own railway junction but the nearest one is at Jalpaiguri which is around 98 km from Gangtok. Several trains running from Chennai, Delhi, Alipur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Howrah etc reach Jalpaiguri and from here taxis are available to reach Gangtok. From there, the travelers have to begin their expedition to Nathula pass. The vehicles are required to be parked a few paces before the pass and then you have to carry the ardent journey to the pass on your feet only while climbing several steps.
Reach Nathula by Road
Nathula can be reached only by taxis to be taken from Gangtok which is well connected to the other cities and states through bus services.
Reach Nathula by Air
The nearest airport is the Bagdogra Airport which is at a distance of 84 km from Gangtok. It has flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bangkok and Paro. Frequent taxis are available for the tourists from Bagdogra to Gangtok. Helicopter services are also available.
