Located at the distance of 32 kms from Bikaner, Gajner Wildlife sanctuary is other prime attraction of Bikaner. Formerly, the sanctuary was the main hunting place of wild animals for Maharajas of Bikaner but at present, it has become home to lots of wild animals and bird species. The sanctuary is a shelter to innumerable wild animals like Wild Boars, desert foxes, black buck, Nilgai, Chinkara, etc. Other than wildlife, second attracting point is the Gajner Lake flowing inside the sanctuary. This lake allures different types of birds among which the main is imperial sand grouse migrated from Siberia. Thus, the place is a heaven for the wildlife lovers and bird watchers.
