Five Faced Hanuman Temple is one of the most renowned temples in Rameshwaram and is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The mythological legend says that Hanuman showed his profile at this place with five faces and adorned with senthooram after the revelation. Besides, the idols of Lord Rama, Laxman and Sita are also placed here along with Lord Hanuman and are worshipped with great faith as if they have lives in them. There is also a floating stone kept outside the temple which is said to be used to construct a bridge over the sea in the period of Ramayana.
