One of the twelve Jyortilinga, Kashi Vishwanath Temple is the main attraction of Varanasi. People of Varanasi are the great devotees and feels great pleasure and relief in taking the blessings of Lord Shiva daily. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In 18^th century, the temple was constructed by Rani Ahalyabai Holkar, Indore. The temple is situated at the River Ganges’ banks and the view of entire city can be seen from here. This magnificent temple holds great religious importance and was visited by many famous saints among whom the main are Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Goswami Tulsidas and many more.
