Winters in Varanasi are very cold and freezing. In winters, the temperature ranges in between 5degreesC to 15degreesC. Varanasi people take the pleasure of winters during months November to March. Watching fog during winters is very common in Varanasi.

 

During monsoon season, Varanasi faces an average rainfall and falls in the month from July to September.

The best time to visit Varanasi is between October to March because the climate of Varanasi is quite pleasant during this time. Also, festivals in Varanasi are celebrated with full bliss and ecstasy, so if you want to enjoy them then make the visit in January for Makar Sankranti, January-February for Basant Panchmi and the most striking one is Maha Shivratri in February or March.
