Situated at the distance of 5kms away from Haridwar, on the way to Rishikesh, one can see Sapt Rishi Ashram. The name of ashram itself reveals connectivity to five sages or rishis. The names of five famous saints were Atri, Vashisht, Kashyapa, Gautam, Bharadwaja, Vishwamitra and Jamadagiri. For performing the meditation in a peace atmosphere, River Ganga splitted itself into seven different streams and at each stream, one saint performed his meditation. Therefore, it is how the ashram is also named as Seven streams or Sapt Sarovar. Thus, those who love to study the details about meditation place must visit the place for the sure!!
