Are you a bird watcher? If yes, then without wasting the time you should make a plan to visit Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, also well-known as Thattekad Sanctuary, situated in the Munnar of Kerala. This wonderful sanctuary is situated in the Kothamangalam Taluk (Ernakulam district) of Kerala. Though geographically, it is spreaded over a small area of 25 sq.kms but then also, it is a home to more than 200 species of birds. Other than the endangered species of birds, the sanctuary also has other different and rare animals and reptiles as its habitat. For watching numerous range of migratory birds, you have to make a visit between the months from November and June.
