Lodhi Fort, 500 years old ancient fort is a popular historical attraction in the city. The massive fort was constructed by Sikander Lodhi along the banks of River Sutlej in the last decade of the 15th century. Spread in an area of 5.6 acres, the fort once stood as a testimony of the bygone era and several rulers tried to take control over it including the Muslims, Mughals and British. Once known for its glory and grandeur, the Lodhi Fort has gone into rack and ruin due to the carelessness of the archeological department and district administration.
