Kaatsheuvel is a township in the Dutch district of North Brabant. Kaatsheuvel's main appeal is "De Efteling" a theme park which is based on fairy tales. The Efteling is the largest theme park in The Netherlands, and as it inaugurated in 1952, it is one of the oldest theme parks in the world. The Efteling is situated in the township of Kaatsheuvel, in the city of Loon op Zand, and has received over 100 million visitors. Over the years, the park has developed from a nature park with playing field and a Fairy Tale Forest, into a life-size theme park along the lines of Disneyland.
