Gun Hill, besides being the key attraction of Mussoorie, carries a great importance in the glorious past. As per legends, prior to Independence, Gun placed on the hill was used to fire at the afternoon to let the people know the time and to adjust their watches accordingly. Actually, Gun Hill is sited above The Mall at an elevation of 2122 meters and 400 meters above the sea level. Gun Hill is also the second highest peak of the region.
