Chandrapaduka, Badrinath, Uttarakhand - An ancient rock with having footprints of Lord Vishnu
Chandrapaduka is popular rock having the footprints of Lord Vishnu. Perched at a height of 3380 feet, this is a religious site accompanied with enchanting surroundings and scenic ambience. It is believed that holy darshan of this rock would relieve the devotees from all their pains and ailments. The people believe that Lord Vishnu set his foot on earth through this point. It is also said that Lord Krishna told his minister, Uddhav to visit Badrinath with his chandrapaduka. Thus the place is considered auspicious and is visited by the devotees in order to get rid of the sufferings and to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
