Chandigarh Bougainvillea Park covers a large area of about 20 acres. This park is located in sector 3. This garden has a large variety of bougainvillea flowers that spellbind the visitors. There are at least 65 distinctive varieties of Bougainvillea can be found here. This Bougainvillea Park was set up in the year 1976 and several varieties of Bougainvillea shrubs were planted over here. There is a large collection of arches, bowers and pavilions in the park that give it a distinctive look. Every year, an annual Bougainvillea show is organized here, which is very popular among the tourists as well as the locals.
