Dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first tithankar of Jainis, the Adinath temple at Khajuraho is really superb. Constructed in the 11^th century, the temple is beautifully adorned with wonderful sculptures carved on the outer walls. Basically, one could the figures of musicians of court engraved artistically on the walls of the temple. Though the temple got ruined at its maximum but still retains its charm and attraction. Basically, its entrance and mandapa got totally destructed but got replaced by the modern entrance constructed by making use of lime- coated stonework. One could see the efforts put to bring out the originality in the entrance and appearance of the ruined temple. The temple is a part of eastern group of temples at Khajuraho.
