Sri Ram Tirath Temple, Amritsar, Punjab - Magnificent temple and scenic beauty

This place of worship, which is located 11 km west of Amritsar, is devoted to Lord Rama. The temple dates back to the Ramayana period. The temple compound includes a shed where Goddess Sita had given birth to her sons Luv and Kush. There is an ancient tank, which is supposed to be dug out by Lord Hanuman. There is also a hut where Maharishi Balmiki used to live. There is a well with stairs. It’s supposed that Mata Sita used to take bath at this well.
