Rukshamanee temple is dedicated to Rukmani, the most beloved queen of Lord Krishna. Located on the banks of river Bhagirathi, the small temple bewitches the visitors with its marvelous architecture and exquisite embellishments. The walls of the temple are adornedwith the beautiful paintings and rich carvings that make the beholders spell bound. One of the most attractive features is beautiful wall paintings portraying the lovely time spend by Lord Krishna and Rani Rukmani. The temple houses the marble idol of Rukmani with four hands or Chaturbhuja with having shankha, gada, chakra and padma that presents her as an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi.
