Subrahmanya temple, also renowned as Kartikeya temple, is the most popular temple of south India. This magnificent temple is situated at 65kms from Kodai and is also called as Palani temple. In this temple, Lord Subramanian or Dhandayuthapani is worshipped which literally means hold of a stick in the hand as a weapon. This temple is sited at an altitude of 135 meters and one has to climb 659 steps for reaching the dazzling temple. The beauty of the temple is out of the world at the time of Tai Pusam, a vibrant festival held in the month of January.
